Is The CDC Wrong In Its Sleep Recommendations, and Could Your Best Sleep Actually Involve Your Phone
According to the CDC’s website, some habits can be adopted to improve sleep. Their suggestions include being consistent with beginning and ending sleep times, having a quiet and comfortable sleep environment, and removing devices such as phones in sleep areas. Suppose you decide to follow their recommendation for removing electronic devices. In that case, you may be missing out on one of our favorite smartphone apps, and one designed to give you better rest, bettersleep (SIC) by wellness application developer IPNOS.
IPNOS states that 55 million global users sleep and relax better with their app.
They feature a variety of approaches to help users sleep better, including white noise (and other sound colors), along with methods to help sleep-interrupted users return to sleep. You’ll also find recordings for sleep hypnosis, dreaming, music selections, and more.
BetterSleep has a 4.8 rating on the Apple Store and ranks #14 in health and fitness. The Google Play store shows more than 10 million downloads with a rating of 4.6 stars!
We’ve been using the Apple version of the app for about a month and find it to be perfect for sleep management. According to the subscriptions page, plans include a yearly plan for $59.99 and a monthly plan for $12.99. There’s also a free trial period available.
