Apple Adding Transcripts To Podcasts

Like Apple Music’s ability to display lyrics for songs being played, Apple will add transcripts to their podcast service so listeners can see what’s being spoken. Apple said, “[w]e are committed to designing the best products and services for everyone.”

The update will be available in the spring of 2024 and will show the show’s transcript after publication. Transcripts can be read, and listeners can search for content for specific words and phrases. The feature will include being able to skip to the podcast section where search results are found.

This feature will be available with iOS 17.4 and in most languages.  Apple will add transcripts to previous podcasts as well.
